18th Athens Xclusive Designers Week – Athens Fashion Club / Wearable Technology


For the first time we get to actually see inspirational clothes from futuristic movies come to life in Greece!

Maria Vytinidou after graduating from the Chemistry Department of the University of Crete, Fashion and Jewelry Design in Athens, Fashion Styling and Fashion Business at Central St. Martin’s College of Arts & Design in London she decided to share her knowledge and experience creating in 2012 Athens Fashion Club Fashion School in order to educate the young fashion entrepreneurs with Innonvative programmes such as Entrepreneurship and Wearable Technology for an international career.

2013 is her best year so far as she participated in the international conference “Nanotexnology 2013” presenting wearable technology garments incorporating high tech materials, established her company as one of the best 20 high technology companies in the world by participating at the Startupbootcamp High Tech XL in Eindhoven, Holland and her fashion school, Athens Fashion Club, got accepted in business acceleration program Orange Grove!


In April 2014 she presented the first Solar Jacket with flexible organic electronic – photovoltaic – which is embedded in the garment and can charge a mobile phone or tablet with the use of solar energy, at the exhibition Panorama Epixeirimatikotitas.

Moving on in 2015 she got to be in Premiere Vision‘s magazine with a special tribute to her as the first Greek fashion designer who creates Innovative Wearable Technology products AND present her work of wearable technology called Escape, at AXDW (Athens Xclusive Designers Week), along with her Fashion School students, Panos / Lily / Ikena / Anna / Christina / Daphne / Ramona / Eleni / Alice / Natalie, and also her own luxury brand Maria Vytinidou.

The Fashion School gave their clothes, also, to a pop Greek group called THE MODE.
